Seems like there is an issue with TX on 1212Z pass over UK. Heard about 1 sec start of SSTV which cut off immediately, a couple of minutes of dead air, then a continuous SSTV signal that didn’t produce a decodeable image (just shows as white noise on MMSSTV).
Second image started just as I lost signal so not sure if that completed successfully.
I was tempted to drive to higher elevations to get clear of the mountains to the south but the first autumn storm “Amy” hit Norway a couple of hours ago and i am now experiencing gusts of wind up to 30m/sec. Ill stay indoors…
Got the same 1st image as Daniel and a partial of the second as it dipped behind buildings and below the horizon. Won’t bother posting images here as Daniel’s are better (and complete)
In addition to the initial transmission issue, there is also a discrepancy between the times published by RV3DR and those recently published on the ARISS Twitter/X account HERE (Nitter HERE )
Yes I heard that voice too on passes over the UK. Assumed it was local qrm at first but heard on at least 2 of the passes yesterday. Will see if it’s still there later today.
Also quite a few messages about it on the AMSAT mailing list - some suggest it’s the location of the ISS (city read phonetically?) but no-one seems to have been able to get a clear extract of the audio from the SSTV signal (yet).
And during the following image at 15:34:20 UTC: 2025-10-03 15:34:20 16 Uhr.wav.zip (414.2 KB)
I hear something and then “16 Uhr” (4 pm).
This is repeated 2 times in 30 second intervals.
It could also be 17 instead of 16. Then it would make more sense regarding the prior voice (16:15).
And my latest from 2025-10-04 09:54:32 UTC with the same announcement. 2025-10-04 09:54:32 Handwerk 17 Uhr.wav.zip (268.7 KB)
It sounds like “Handwerk” (handcraft), but I’m not sure.
