ISS SSTV Event 11-16 April

From ARISS_Intl:

Didn’t get enough SSTV this week? Our ARISS Chair just announced there’s more to come next weekend: For Cosmonautics Day (April 12) ARISS will be conducting an SSTV event. Starts 11-Apr & runs through the weekend. Acquire 12 PD-120 images on the 145.80 MHz downlink from ISS.

Thanks, saw this mentioned in an end of mission message from Fram2 team on Amsat forum then forgot to post it here.

I’ve scheduled a couple of observations, for the next ~48h.

Not bad considering I got distracted and almost missed the pass.

Got the same 1st image as you then sat disappeared behind building. Better passes later so hope to get more then.

Got a couple of good passes coming up in the UK

On the last pass I received 1 image at the start of the pass and then the transmission appears to have stopped.

I left a receiver running unattended while trying to get umka-1 and orbicraft which overlapped in passes. Just checked and nothing received at all :frowning: . Oh well another pass after lunch so will try again.

Nothing received on the last pass either.

The transmissions are back.

By the way, I already received my award (See HERE)

When a local station bangs up the power as you try to capture images from the ISS. Arghhhhh

much better signal this time round but its frustrating the the break in-between transmissions is so long. if they reduced I think you would get at least two more images per pass.

Well, the event is over for me (the ISS will no longer pass over Brazil before 14:30UTC).

It was a great experience to participate in this event, but there is still some randomness missing for the images to be transmitted.
