It seems pretty likely that e-kagaku-1 never transmitted a signal from orbit.
According to their website the transmissions are (beside CW) AFSK 1k2 and 9k6 GMSK in AX.25.
You would be able to decode those transmissions with the standard SoundModem and HighSpeed-SoundModem.
The problem is, that the NoradID that belongs to BOTAN 65942 is shows as E-KAGAKU-1 in the space-track TLE

And that causes some confusion, so BOTAN is active but is shown as E-KAGAKU-1 but as far as I know there was never E-KAGAKU-1 frame received.
The TLE objects are basically swapped in the space-track catalog.

The satellites owners should contact space-track and correct this error.
