Innocube CW Beacon

Dear Community,

the satellite Innocube will send out a CW Beacon on 24th of December in celebration of Christmas. The beacon can be received over:

Australia: ~01:38 UTC
Korea: ~2:59 UTC
Europe: ~10:44 UTC
United States: ~17:09 and ~18:42 UTC

If you want to receive the beacon but your location is not on the list, feel free to contact us. We might be able to add more locations. The frequency is: 437.02 MHz

There are also special christmas eQSL cards that we are sending out to everyone who received and decoded the beacon correctly. In this case, please send an email with proof of reception to tubsat31@gmail.com until 31th of december.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays

P.S.: Unfortunately, SSTV transmissions are not possible due to a faulty transmitter :frowning:

Perhaps it’s possible to schedule a transmission to Brazil !!

There’s a great pass to Brazil for: 2025-12-25 (YYYY-MM-DD) at 01:52 UTC until 02:00 UTC

I don’t know if the broadcast schedule is for an entire window or just one broadcast… If it’s just one broadcast, it would be great if it happened at 01:55 UTC (right at the peak of the pass).

Thank you in advance !!

With the utmost respect, we would like to kindly request your considerate support in enabling CW transmission on board the INNOCUBE satellite during any of the following passes, as any of them would be favorable for CW reception over Lima, Peru – South America, at the times listed below (UTC):

25/12/2025 – Maximum elevation 34.5°

AOS: 15:22:20 UTC

LOS: 15:33:20 UTC

26/12/2025 – Maximum elevation 18.5°

AOS: 04:39:35 UTC

LOS: 04:39:50 UTC

We respectfully wish to highlight that these passes will not only cover the city of Lima, but will also extend over several countries in the region, allowing many radio amateurs throughout South America the opportunity to receive and decode the CW signal.

Enabling CW transmission during any of these passes would be of great value to the amateur radio community in this region, as there are currently no active CW transmissions available for this area.

We sincerely appreciate your time, attention, and kind consideration. We remain at your disposal for any further information you may require.

With highest regards,OA4DEX

Can you please schedule a transmission for south-east Asia (Laos, Thailand)? Your satellite will passover my location in Laos on 24th December at about 0432 UTC (elevation = 32 degrees).

Thanks! Simon XW0LP

Could you please add VU Region (INDIA) to your list.

Date 24th Dec 2025 6:14 UTC - 29 deg pass is the best pass.

Sure, I can add your pass to the list. The beacon will be sent for 2-3min repeatedly so I will try to schedule around your highest point of elevation

Okay I’ll keep an eye out !! Thank you so much !!

Hey, I can even try to schedule both passes. The last one seems to only last for 15 seconds though, which can’t be the duration of a 18° elevation pass. The beacon lasts for 2-3min so if you send me the preferred start time of the beacon or the correct start and end time of the second pass I can try to schedule the beacon around the maximum elevation point

Sure! Is this the point of maximum elevation (beacon starting ~1min prior) or do you need the beacon to start at this time? It will last for 2-3min

Sure, no problem! Do you want me to start the beacon at this exact time or slightly prior? It will be sending for approximately 2-3min

Hi, the time of maximum elevation is 0437, so if it starts about 1 minute before that is good!

Okay, I will schedule the beacon accordingly!

Excellent! Thanks

A small change… Lately I’ve been experiencing a lot of ionospheric scintillation north of my QTH at night…would it be possible to reschedule for 2025-12-25 at 01:54UTC ?

Perhaps another transmission on 2025-12-25 at 13:54UTC ? (A pass during the day)

Thank you in advance

Yes, I can reschedule  Are these the times of maximum elevation? If so, I would start the transmission ~1min prior. But I can also start the transmission at these exact times if you want.

Hey, I could schedule the beacon to start at these times on 24th of December: 03:06 UTC, 14:53 UTC and 16:26 UTC. Is that alright?

Exactly at those times please (They are 1 minute before the peak of the pass )

Great, okay
