After Doppler compensation made from gpredict controlling gqrx tuning frequency I observe a small residual offset due probably to not perfect orbit estimation by TLE.
So how do you usually take this into account before demodulation? By hand? With a PLL or other carrier estimation algorithm?
Is it really necessary? Lots of modes allow for slight mismatch in frequency (for example, Fox DUV and HuskySat SSB telemetry is easily decodeable with a slight mismatch).
I have experienced that some modes are not tolerant of the mismatch, though (SSTV through a SSB linear sat, for example, was difficult).
