HADES-R (SO-124): "Digi"peater

Yesterday, on Digital Modes Wednesday I had a QSO with DF1LON via HADES-R (SO-124) in AX.25 at 1k2!

Uplink is on 145.925, downlink on 436.888 (- a little drift).

Since HADES-R was and will be on mode 1 (voice retransmission) instead of mode 2 (regenerative packet repeater) [this currently works only for 50 bps], your packet will be repeated like on a voice repeater. There is no short delay like on a digipeater.
And hence it is no real digipeater, there is no need of a via path.

Since it’s practically a voice repeater allowing also FSK, there could also be (and yesterday there were) voice QSOs at the same time for people don’t know or won’t stick to the schedule.

I’ll be there on 25th for the next AX.25 Wednesday.

Today on scheduled digital modes Wednesday at 11:10 UTC I had 1k2 Packet QSOs with EA3HAH and S51HF. Thank you very much.

The schedule for July should be available in the next few days.

The schedule for July is online since 7th and shows AX.25 for today (9th) and 30th.

I listened in on today’s pass over Europe, but saw a continuous beacon [supplement: It’s the SMART-IR experiment (packet type 15) beacon which cannot be switched off] practically the whole time.

Let’s try again on 30th.
