I see no one has answered you.
First I am only guessing what you are asking and I may completely off track.
The error: avrdude: stk500_getsync() is most often seen in Arduino when trying to load a program.
First thing I would check is do you have the correct board selected.
If so do you have the correct serial port selected.
Correct serial speed?
Search: avrdude: stk500_getsync() and you get a lot of answers.
