Gpredict freezing randomly

Hello all,

I have been struggling with a problem with Gpredict that last few months.

I am running Gpredict 2.3.115 directly checked out from github on Debian 12.2. Gpredict can run for days with no problem if I have open only the the polar and upcoming passes layout.

If I open the rotator and radio control Gpredict will randomly and with no apparent reason freeze. The only strange thing I can find in the logs is in system log:

Νοε 22 11:13:03 apollo gpredict[18549]: gdk_window_get_window_type: assertion ‘GDK_IS_WINDOW (window)’ failed
Νοε 22 11:13:03 apollo gpredict[18549]: _gtk_widget_captured_event: assertion ‘WIDGET_REALIZED_FOR_EVENT (widget, event)’ failed

The second message is repeated a lot of times.

Can anyone help to track this down and probably solve this “bug”

I have been running it a lot and leaving it running, with or without radio/antenna interface up or connected. It usually crashes in a few days to a few weeks. no matter on windows or linux, built from source or from a distribution.
