This is Greenland! (on the left) You can see it’s in the dark, it’s polar night over there. But we can see Sun on the left. Shadows of clouds tells that sun is really low over the horizon there when photo was taken:)

You could absolutely do a mass schedule shortly before the transmission takes place. That way any stations prioritizing certain satellites etc can have a chance to fill their schedule. This is preferred above loosing these images. There’s around 60 stations on a EU pass, not too much (:
