GEOSCAN digital image transmissions for Cosmonautics Day (11~13) via RS51S, 52, 59, 67, 68, 78

Well, that’s a little sad

Just before the UmKA-1 crossed over Brazil in this morning, I decided to monitor the Colibri-S RS67S (Random decision :joy:). The satellite was very high in the sky and when I started the SDR I was very surprised. The satellite was transmitting an image in digital protocol !!

Unfortunately, I didn’t turn on the SDR in time to collect the starter data and I lost the image. I was sure that the GEOSCAN event was happening only over Russian territory :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’m missing image number 2, 5 and 7 from RS52S, RS59S and RS67S.

Is anyone willing to have a look at this wav file and tell me if is a matter of signal quality or if my decoders are all non functioning?

I know it is not perfect at the end but i feel it should atleast start decoding something out of this.

Edit:The satellite is Stratosat TK-1

Jomjom79

It decoded to a 21,5 kb KISS file.
I’ve already got number 12 from RS52S with 21,4 kb.

I didn’t examine every single frame to determine the cause, but I also received several ‘black’ images despite a complete decoding.

Just hang on and try to combine several receptions.
