More details about the transmission?

About the satellite :

To complement this, the satellite transmits with approximately 3W of power (VERY good to receive) and apparently the satellite has 103 images on board.

Which soundmodem must be used for galapagos ute swsu satellite , used transmission is afsk 1143?

will a afsk 1200 soundmodem work? thanks?

Yesterday and at now, this satellite is not transmiting SSTV, no signal on valid pass. Maybe TLE was not so correctly? Have we any news?

Ciao!

IZ5RZR

The satellite is not transmitting SSTV, but it does transmit telemetry periodically.

@on7ndr Well, I think you’ve already figured out how to make the soundmodem work at that specific rate

ok, so after the initial sstv broadcasts now it is not broadcasting anything on sstv, we will wait for news if they give it to us

:double_exclamation_mark: Apparently the GALAPAGOS-UTE-SWSU is transmitting images in SSTV.

I will be watching for its next pass over Brazil

All images with FSKID = 3730. The image number 2 (The turtle) has a sync error, and this seems to be a transmission problem.

no sig

Nothing heard here (io83) either on 1028utc pass. Is this only active over South America?

Actually, no (It just passed by here with SSTV OFF)

Yesterday morning the same thing happened (Two passes OFF)

Hi actually no SSTV images here in JN48. Only telemetry, that i can’t decode here.

What kind of Soundmodem do I have to use?

Greetings

Olaf

Look HERE

Well, as far as I know, the event has ended and I “discovered” something interesting.

The GALAPAGOS-UTE-SWSU satellite, at certain times, didn’t transmit SSTV because it was alternating between AFSK + SSTV transmissions on 437.050 MHz and FSK transmissions on 435.750 MHz.

I honestly don’t know how often it alternated frequencies and the transmitters (as far as I know, they are independent transmitters for each frequency). I noticed this when the satellite passed over my QTH here in Brazil “OFF” and a few minutes later transmitted images over southern Brazil and Argentina.

I also noticed multiple wideband signal being transmitted in 437.050 MHz yesterday.

Many thanks for your support!. Now it works here.
