Frequent 500 Internal Server Error and timeouts when fetching jobs (Station #4950)

Hello everyone,

I am experiencing persistent issues with my SatNOGS station (#4950, JP7DVX) over the past few hours. The client container is repeatedly failing to fetch scheduled jobs from the network API.

Here is a snippet from the container logs:

Plaintext

ERROR satnogsclient.scheduler.tasks 500 Server Error: Internal Server Error for url: https://network.satnogs.org/api/jobs/?ground_station=4950&lat=40.59&lon=140.46&alt=60
ERROR satnogsclient.scheduler.tasks Fetching jobs from network failed.
ERROR satnogsclient.scheduler.tasks HTTPSConnectionPool(host='network.satnogs.org', port=443): Read timed out. (read timeout=45)

I have verified my local network, DNS resolution, and internet connectivity, and everything on my end is working properly. It seems that the API endpoint is returning 500 Internal Server Error or timing out.

Is anyone else experiencing similar issues right now? Could this be a temporary server-side glitch or maintenance on the SatNOGS Network side?

Any advice or updates would be greatly appreciated.

Indeed there were some performance issues after the latest release happened earlier, the serious ones have been solved with some fixes, however until everything returns back to normal there will be some more, at least for the next couple of hours.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for the update and clarification! I apologize for opening a duplicate report without noticing the release thread beforehand.

I’m glad to hear that the serious issues are being resolved. I will keep an eye on my station and wait for things to settle down completely.

Thanks again for all the hard work on the new release!
