The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 10:15 UTC. Die Schulgemeinschaft BSTI besteht seit 1931 und ist eine Mittelschule für Jungen und Mädchen im Alter von 12 bis 18 Jahren. Sie befindet sich in Ostbelgien und liegt hier in der belgischen Eifel nahe dem Dreiländereck Deutschland-Belgien-Luxemburg. Sie bietet verschiedene Unterrichtsabteilungen im Bereich der Naturwissenschaften, der Sprachen, des Sports sowie verschiedene technische als auch berufliche Unterrichte mit Abitur an. Wir verbinden Tradition und Innovation in der Wissensvermittlung. Uns ist es wichtig den Jugendlichen eine Perspektive für ihr weiteres Leben zu geben. Deshalb gehen wir mit der Zeit und stellen uns den Herausforderungen unserer Gesellschaft und in der Welt unter Beibehaltung von Tradition und Innovation!

Berufliche Schule Direktorat 1 Nürnberg

Die B1-Nürnberg, Kurzform für Berufliche Schule Direktorat 1 Nürnberg, ist eine berufliche Schule, die sich im Süden Deutschlands befindet. Ausbildungsrichtungen sind Handwerks- und Industrieberufe in den elektrischen, elektronischen und informationstechnischen Fachrichtungen sowie in verschiedenen Metallberufen und der Mechatronik (ein Beruf der Teile aus Metallberufen und Elektronikberufen enthält).

An der Schule lernen und arbeiten ca. 2000 Schüler und 80 Lehrer.

Die Ausbildung an der Schule besteht aus theoretischem Unterricht und Praxis in den Werkstätten und Laboren der Schule.

Unsere Schüler verbringen einen Teil ihrer Ausbildungszeit in der Schule und den anderen Teil in Unternehmen der Industrie und des Handwerks

(Duales System der Ausbildung, wie es in Deutschland weit verbreitet ist).

Eine Arbeitsgemeinschaft Funk und Elektronik wurde 2016 an der Schule gegründet.

In dieser Arbeitsgemeinschaft lernen die Schüler durch einen Amateurfunkausbilder Amateurfunkkontakte (analog und in Digimodes) herzustellen. Eines der Ziele ist es, dass die Schüler eine eigene Amateurfunklizenz mit Prüfung vor der zuständigen Behörde erwerben.

Löten von kleinen Schaltungen gehört ebenso zur praktischen Ausbildung in der AG Funk und Elektronik dazu. Eines der Highlights in diesem Jahr soll es sein, mittels Amateurfunk einen Kontakt zu einem Astronauten herzustellen.

Our school, the BSTI was established in 1931. It is a secondary school for boys and girls between 12 and 18. We are situated in the hilly Eifel region, more precisely in St.Vith, a small town in the German-speaking part of East-Belgium. That means that you can find us right in the middle of the border triangle between Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg, where different cultures and languages meet.

Our pupils can graduate in a wide range of subjects such as natural sciences, mathematics, physical education or modern languages to qualify for university studies. But since we are also a technical high school many vocational subjects are on offer as well.

It is our philosophy to combine tradition and innovation to help our pupils find a perspective for their personal lives and their future as individuals. But we also want to raise an awareness for global challenges to encourage them to contribute to a more sustainable future for our world.

Berufliche Schule Direktorat 1 Nürnberg

B1-Nuremberg - short form of Berufliche Schule Direktorat 1 Nuremberg - is a vocational school located in the south of Germany. Education directions are electrical and electronically engineering, electronics, information technology, mechanics and mechatronics (parts of mechanics combined with parts of electronics).

Approx. 2000 students and 80 teachers are learning and working at the B1-Nuremberg.

The education combines theoretical lessons and practical training in workshops and laboratories.

Our students spend parts of the period of training in school and other parts in industrial plants and workshops

(German Dual-System of education).

An amateur radio and electronics working community was found at the school in October 2016. Students are taught by an amateur radio instructor weekly and learn to operate in analogous and digital modes of ham radio with the aim of getting an own ham radio license.

Soldering of small circuit boards is also part of the training in the amateur radio and electronic working community. One highlight in this year is to make an amateur radio contact and talk to a person in space.

Participants will ask as many of the following questions as time allows:

  1. Wie ist ihre Aussicht auf die Erde bzw. zu den Sternen?

  2. Wir sind eine Berufsschule für Metall- und Elektrotechnik und lernen viel über elektrischen Strom. Verhält sich elektrischer Strom im Weltall anders als auf der Erde?

  3. Wie sieht ihr Tagesablauf aus und wie ist ihr Schlafrythmus?

  4. Was vermisst man als Astronaut am meisten während der Zeit auf der ISS?

  5. Können sie ihr Körpergefühl aufgrund der Schwerelosigkeit der Enge der Raumstation mit dem auf der Erde vergleichen?

  6. Wenn an Board jemand Geburtstag hat, gibt es auf der ISS auch eine Geburtstagsfeier?

  7. Ist es schwieriger sportlichen Übungen auszuführen?

  8. Wir haben gesehen, dass die ISS-Besatzung ein internationales Team ist. Welche Uhrzeit gilt an Board der ISS?

  9. Was essen sie hauptsächlich auf der ISS, schmeckt es ihnen?

  10. Was ist zu tun, wenn ein Astronaut plötzlich krank wird?

  11. Wie ist die Luft dort oben?

  16. Wir haben gelesen, dass Astronauten am Simulator trainieren müssen. Wieviel Fahrstunden benötigt man, um eine Sojus-Kapsel einparken zu können?

  17. Welches war ihr interessantestes Experiment?

  18. Was machen Astronauten in ihrer Freizeit?

  19. Gibt es Forschungsergebnisse der ISS, die konkrete Auswirkungen für unser tägliches Leben haben?

Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) is a cooperative venture of international amateur radio societies and the space agencies that support the International Space Station (ISS). In the United States, sponsors are the Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation (AMSAT), the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
