A quick update on the status:

We have received until now from:

  • SIDLOC (probably dead now)
  • GRBBeta
  • ISTSAT-1 (CW, new transmitter created in DB)
  • 3CAT-4
  • ROBUSTA-3A

There will be some updated TLE later today for the satellites above.

For the rest we continue tracking!

After further updates, we returned back to 401.750 MHz for Replicator.

space-track.org published some objects for this launch. They still need to be assinged:

Caught GRBBeta also sending CW telemetry from FN41iq. HA2GRB (although my ears miss the first dit of the H, so it sounds like an S to me. HI HI).

Here are the first fits using Network observations. Given that the objects in space-track are still in TBA(To Be Assigned) status and also close to each other, this is far from identification:

Hello everyone.

I’m a part of the ISTSAT-1 team and we’ve been trying to receive and decode our beacons. We are having some stability issues on our groundstation. We have received and have seen successful decoded rx’s of the short beacon. We are currently joining our efforts to catch a long beacon which contains some telemetry data from the satellite.

The beacon pattern is:
4 short beacons, 1 long beacon, 4 short, etc…

Also, there is a 1 minute pause between the beacons

Any data on the long beacons is greatly appreciated!

I’m leaving here the cw patterns for decoding the long beacons.

60238 looks good for GRBBeta - let’s confirm it in the next pass! (SatNOGS Network - Observation 9834457)

Amazing pictures - thanks for sharing!

Any information available? Is that platform still transmitting since the second stage apparently failed to re-enter as planned?

Are these images from the S-Band downlink or some other transmitter?

Any info at all?

Thanks!

And speaking of the second stage, if it did fail to re-enter as planned, should we still be listening for the Genesis-A downlinks?

Let me corrected if I’m wrong, but more or less all the hosted payload expected the re-entry so they didn’t have more than some hours of battery. So I wouldn’t expect any reception from any of the hosted payloads right now.

The GRBBeta preliminary TLE published in this thread was used to plan the observation. Thanks guys!

GRBBeta CW beacon was heard here in Brazil… on its side was the ROBUSTA-3A Beacon

HERE I make the CW audio of GRBBeta available

Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to extract anything from GRBBeta’s 9k6 packets because their signal was too weak here for me

From @PE0SAT strf observations we are going to use 60386 for GRBBeta as it has slightly better fit than 60238:

Similar for ROBUSTA-3A we are going to follow 60241:

Hey guys,

I love following along with the discussion. I am part of the NASA - CURIE team and we are having issues with our two ground stations right now (we used all our good luck on the launch it seems).

Is there information from our side that would be useful for you guys to help us accquire the satellites. We are sending beacon on both satellites, 1 minute apart.

A very nervous,
Chris

@cmoeckel welcome in the community!

Can you give us more details:

  1. Are more than one CURIE satellites?
  2. Can you confirm the frequencies that they transmit at 916 MHz and at 2395.000 MHz?
  3. When you say “we are sending beacon”, you mean from earth to space? or that the satellites beacon (from space to earth)?
  4. Are the satellites beaconing or transmit only over command, or maybe only over a specific area?
  5. Do you need support from ground segment on reception only, or on transmission too?
