where can I expect to find the sats are they entirely within the 435-438 MHz sat band? Or are any sats in this band operating outside of this subset. During a casual glance at the DB last night in an attempt to answer this question for myself, I though I saw one a few 100Khz above 438MHz.
Most birds are in the 437-438MHz band (some in 435-436 and 436-437)
DX-1 has not got ITU clearance to be outside 438MHz
