Whish: New (old) satellites?

Hey. Can we have two (more) satellites here:

*** SHINSEI of 1972 (TLE here: https://www.n2yo.com/satellite/?s=5485 / http://space.skyrocket.de/doc_sdat/ss-1.htm) MODE CW on 136.695

*** SPACEBEE 1: USB 136.920 TLE: https://www.n2yo.com/satellite/?s=43142
*** SPACEBEE 2: USB 136.920 TLE: https://www.n2yo.com/satellite/?s=43141
*** SPACEBEE 3: USB 136.920 TLE: https://www.n2yo.com/satellite/?s=43140
*** SPACEBEE 4: USB 136.920 TLE: https://www.n2yo.com/satellite/?s=43139

Thank you very much.

Hey Satnogs staff.

Possible?

Anything is possible if there is a will

I suspect most, if not all people who can add satellites to the DB have been busy with preparing, traveling and now being at Hamvention,

If I understand correctly, the SPACEBEE’s are the rouge satellites launched without approval by the FCC. That may be an important factor in the decision whether they belong in the SatNOGS DB. Moreover, I don’t see TLE for them in Celestrak.

Therefore SPACEBEES are very interesting. And yes: No TLE from Celetrak. Is this the only source for TLE?

AFAIK that’s the only source we can download from. Any other sources will require somebody to manually update the TLE and that can become boring in the long run.

Yup. But what about scripting a grabber? We just have to ask if it’s ok to take them from the page. N2YO for eg.

EDIT: I just saw in N2YO page: “Source of the keplerian elements: AFSPC”

I don’t know what AFSPC is…

Like I said, anything is possible, I was just referring to what is implemented today. Even the simplest tasks require somebody to spend time on executing it.

This is true. I would implement a script *g
