Hi. My name is Aleksey (RA3PPY) and I am a representative of the UmKA-1 telescope cubesat team.

Our 3U+ cubesat is a telescope and will serve for educational purposes. It was created jointly by schoolchildren with the support of radio amateurs.
IARU Amateur Satellite Frequency Coordination in process:

The main frequency of the downlink telemetry channel is 437.625 MHz 4k8 9k6 GMSK USP
The spare frequency of the downlink telemetry channel is 435.825 MHz 4k8 9k6 GMSK USP
The frequency of data transmission from the telescope is 2402 MHz BPSK
At the moment, the satellite is already loaded into the container. The launch is scheduled for June 27, 2023 from the Vostochny cosmodrome together with Meteor-M

Hello Scott.

Yes, S-band downlink is planned worldwide. But due to the limited capacity of the energy sector, the broadcast will be possible by prior arrangement and according to the schedule. We will not be able to transmit data taken by the telescope continuously.

I think it would be wise to create a thread in this community where we can report on the progress of our mission and provide information.

I’ve edited the first post with a table that contains the known (and some guesses) frequencies for the satellites of this launch. If someone has more info or any fix on the current data, let me know and I’ll add it into the table. I’m wondering if you have any recordings/specs of the protocol involved in your S band transmission. I know it’s CCSDS/16 bit integers for the sensors, but not much else.

Would you please be able to send a baseband?

Hello! Actually there is no BB record yet. It will be received after testing the satellite and receiving a sufficient amount of telemetry. A description of the protocol can be found here This is a simple CCSDS with modified CADU. Also it has CONV 1/2 and pseudo-random scrambling. Photos are in 16-bit grayscale image format
