SDR-RTL Blog v4

Hello everyone, I’m new here, my question is probably an old one, but I searched the blog and couldn’t find any answers. Last weekend I decided to install SatNOGS on my Raspberry Pi 5, which went well. I’m using an RTL-SDR blog v4 and a Diamond X510 dual band antenna. I know it’s not a good antenna for satellites. What happens is that if I connect the rtl-sdr to SDR++ or GQRX, I can receive perfectly, for example, the ISS. If it’s connected to the SatNOGS system, the system doesn’t hear anything. I’ve done several tests and there are no errors in the connection with the SDR.
Can anyone help me resolve this situation ?
Thank you very much, and I apologize if this post is not in the right place.

The station is 4448 - CT1EIF - Im68gd one right?

All of its observations are marked as failed as there are no results returning to Network from the station. This usually happens because there is an error during the observation which can be a result of mis-configuration or something else.

To help you debug this issue we will need you to provide us the support report and some logs. You can find/generate both by following the instructions in the yellow boxes in Troubleshooting - SatNOGS Wiki if you use the latest version or Troubleshooting Legacy - SatNOGS Wiki if you use an older one.

try this:

SATNOGS_RX_SAMP_RATE=2.048e6
SATNOGS_ANTENNA=RX

based on this metadata:

the values are not correct

  • samp-rate-rx: “2048”,
  • antenna: “Diamond X-510”

edit you satnogs setup /config, the values should be:

SATNOGS_RX_SAMP_RATE=2.048e6
SATNOGS_ANTENNA=RX
