Satnogs-rotator-controller on RAMPS with NEMA 17?

Using a RAMPS 1.4 board with Arduino Mega 2560 (so more RAM I/O etc) and a couple RAMPS optical encoders. I had a set left over from a RepRap 3D printer build and thought I would give it a go. The drivers used are DRV8825 which have an identical footprint (pin out) to A4988 with a slightly higher current capacity. Other than disabling the motors in my modified sketch after homing (where the drivers get very warm if the steppers are not moving) , the speed and acceleration currently causes some vibration and not very smooth (max speed and acceleration settings). Also I’m not sure about the gear ratio. 54 or 60? Thanks for the feedback and hope you folks can improve upon this. Cheers!
