Hi everyone,
I recently captured these signals from NOAA 6 (Observation #14469407).
As you can see in the waterfall and the decoded data, I detected some CW-like patterns on 137.5000 MHz.
I am curious if these are legitimate signals still being transmitted by the satellite or if it could be some kind of interference. Does anyone have any insights into the current status of NOAA 6’s transmitter?
Any comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

The CW decoder will try to decode any carrier that passes thru the passband. Since the signal has a curve to it, it is likely just terrestrial signals (likely images from some other frequency). Signals from a sat in observations will normally take the form of a straight line near the center of the waterfall.
Thanks for your insight, KD9KCK! That makes a lot of sense. I didn’t realize the decoder would try to translate noise into characters like that. It’s a great learning experience for me to distinguish between real satellite signals and terrestrial interference based on the waterfall pattern. Thanks for your help!
