No, it seems they stopped transmitting on UHF, but I am still creating OBS to see if they stay silent ![]()
Yes they are SatNOGS Network - Observation 10439407
If you recognize the signals you only have to add the other ones to the frequencies.txt
Bluebird 3 61045 and Bluebird 5 61046 also caught
Unfortunately, AST SpaceMobile next generation constellation FM1 satellites will also transmit spread over the entire 430-440 MHz UHF amateur radio band and not only amateur radio satellites. The community needs to act…
FCC still has some questions:
The AST filing shows their proposed emergency TT&C 430-440 MHz links from the satellites will use omnidirectional (0.0 dB gain) antennas at a transmit power of 7dBW (5W). Even with a fairly wide bandwidth, that’s plenty of energy to at least show up as more noise in the transponders of any linear satellites in view (a MUCH larger area than just the footprints of the proposed ground stations) with uplinks overlapping any AST satellite when it is in this mode. I’ve filed comments in opposition and hope other US hams and organizations have done so opposing AST’s use of 430-440 MHz.

NG-3 Update: We have confirmed payload separation. AST SpaceMobile has confirmed the satellite has powered on. The payload was placed into an off-nominal orbit. We are currently assessing and will update when we have more detailed information.
off-nominal orbit.? WTF?
Can you share some orbit information on SPACEMOBILE-007 ?

From Jonathan McDowell: Best estimate for the SECO-1 orbit given the slow observed decrease in altitude in the webcast is somewhere in the range of 164 x 380 km to 116 x 420km, depending on flight path angle at cutoff which was somewhere in the 0 to -1 degree range.
Still waiting for SECO-2 data.
Maybe FM7 is transmitting on the 435 MHz emergency frequency..
The BlueOrigin/AST_SpaceMobile
launch has been tracked by Space Force as catalog 68765, 2026-85A, in a 154 x 494 km x 36.1 deg orbit. Epoch is 1138 UTC which is the time of SECO-1, so this may not be the final orbit. (If it is, then they are indeed toast). [Jonathan McDowell]
First videos from re-entry of BlueBird 7 (FM2) appeared on X a few days ago, so it stayed only in orbit for a few rounds and decayed naturally.
FCC gave authorisation for AST SpaceMobile for the next 248 satellites to use the 435 MHz Amateur and Amateur Satellite frequencies for Telemetry & Telecommand (TT&C).

There are some limits imposed, but it’s still bad for Hamradio and technically not understandable for such an innovative company to not using frequencies allocated by ITU for such purpose..
only usa or outside too?
